It took a rainy spring day with a totally unplanned madcap detour through Paris and a 3-minute French pop song on the radio to make me want to ditch everything and spend the rest of my life as an impoverished writer in Montparnasse (also a fat one, judging by the lunch I had there). Zut alors!
